Role summary

Own the end-to-end delivery of one-time projects—corporate websites, e-commerce storefronts, portals, web apps, and Martech integrations—so they launch on time, in scope, and “first-time-right.” You’ll coordinate data and inputs across Client, Copy, Design, Development, and QA, run risk and change control, enforce the BRD/SOW that’s been signed off, and escalate scope additions early. You’ll partner with internal leads to unblock solution decisions and report delivery health to the CTO with clear metrics.
You won’t write code, but you’ll use your technology overview (Gen-AI, cloud, solution architecture, analytics/CRM basics) to steer the team toward pragmatic decisions.

What you will deliver (accountable outcomes)

On-time launches: ≥90% milestones met; slippage flagged ≥5 business days in advance with options and impact.
Scope control: Zero “silent scope creep.” 100% change requests documented with effort/cost/impact and approvals.
Quality at go-live: “First-time-right” rate improves quarter-on-quarter; fewer client-reported issues in T+7 days.
Evidence-based sign-off: Every release carries a short evidence pack (design parity screenshots, basic W3C/WCAG/SEO checks, GA4/GTM preview links, sample CRM payloads/HAR).
Stakeholder orchestration: All required datasets and inputs (copy, assets, brand, product, pricing, taxonomy, tracking specs, credentials) collected on time with owner and due date.
Clear governance: Weekly status, risks/decisions log, and “red-flag” communication; no surprises at UAT or go-live.
Positive client health: Consistent green/yellow status with a reasoned path to green; crisp escalations where needed.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Planning & onboarding (Week 0–2)
Convert BRD/SOW into a dated plan (milestones, dependencies, owners, acceptance criteria).
Run access & assets checklist (domains/hosting, design files, copy, GTM/analytics, CRM, brand kits, product/catalog data).
Baseline audits where relevant (basic speed, SEO hygiene, accessibility checklist, content readiness).
Publish a single source of truth (tracker + comms cadence); agree Definition of Done per milestone.

Delivery & change control
Facilitate cross-team handoffs: Copy → Design → Dev → QA → UAT with checklists and evidence requirements.
Maintain RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and drive unblocks with solution options.
Manage change requests with effort/cost/schedule impact; get written approvals before work starts.
Keep PPC/Analytics looped on tracking needs; ensure Dev adds code-level hooks while PPC manages GTM.
Readiness & launch
Run release-readiness reviews: devices/browsers, forms/flows, redirects, lightweight SEO and accessibility checks, tracking/CRM parity spot-checks, CDN/hosting notes, rollback plan.
Coordinate hyper-care (T+24/T+48/T+7) with clear ownership and updates to client and CTO.

Reporting
Send weekly delivery summary to CTO: plan vs actual, burn vs scope, risks/decisions, upcoming gates, and client health.
After go-live, share a two-page closure (what went well, issues prevented, remaining items, data/analytics status).

Must-have capabilities (technology overview, not coding)

Gen-AI awareness: Knows where AI/agentic tools help (brief→spec drafting, DoD templates, release notes, test suggestions, log triage). Ensures guardrails (no secrets/PII; human review).
Solution architecture literacy: Can read/drive simple flow/sequence diagrams (LP → API → queue → CRM), discuss idempotency, retries/backoff, and reconciliation at a high level.
Cloud & delivery basics: Understands DigitalOcean/AWS EC2, object storage + CDN for assets, cache headers, backups, rate limits/WAF; can ask the right questions and escalate trade-offs.
Martech readiness: Distinguishes dataLayer (Dev) vs GTM (PPC); expects GA4 event previews, parameter parity (values/currency/IDs), and consent behavior to be evidenced.
CRM integrations: Knows the moving parts for Zoho/Salesforce/Kylas mapping, duplicate prevention (idempotency keys/dedupe), retry policies, and daily success-rate expectations.
Commerce/website hygiene: Shopify/WordPress/Headless basics, image policy (WebP/AVIF), app bloat awareness, and practical SEO handoff (titles/meta/H1-H3/schema shortlist).
Project governance: Builds and enforces BRD/SOW, Definition of Ready/Done (plain language), change control, risk/decision log, and a clean UAT/sign-off trail.

Nice to have

Exposure to n8n/Zapier/Make for delivery automations (alerts, parity diffs, status nudges).
Familiarity with GitLab pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes concepts, and preview environments (to coordinate—not to build).
Hands-on with Looker Studio or basic analytics dashboards for post-launch checks.

Tools you’ll work around (with specialists)

PM/Tracking: Jira/Trello/Asana (or equivalent), shared trackers, RAID logs, change registers.
Design/Copy: Figma, shared content sheets, asset pipelines.
Web/Commerce: Shopify 2.0 themes/sections, WordPress/Laravel/Headless (overview only).
Data & Martech: GA4/GTM (PPC owns container), pixels, CRM (Zoho/Salesforce/Kylas), basic API payload viewing (Postman/console/HAR).
Cloud/Infra: DigitalOcean/AWS EC2, object storage + CDN, SSL, redirects.
Automation/AI: n8n (alerts/checks), ChatGPT/agentic assistants for drafting/checklists—with guardrails.

Experience & qualifications

7–12 years in web/digital delivery with 3+ years leading multi-stakeholder projects (corporates/e-commerce/portals/webapps).
Proven record of on-time launches and scope discipline on fixed-scope/fixed-date projects.
Demonstrable client-facing communication: expectation setting, escalation framing, and calm crisis updates.
Strong documentation habits: BRD/SOW, DoD, risk/decision logs, evidence-based sign-offs, closure notes.

How success will be measured (KPIs)

On-time milestones: ≥90% per quarter.
Scope integrity: 100% of out-of-scope items covered via approved change requests.
Launch quality: Post-launch client-reported issues reduced quarter-on-quarter (target set per portfolio).
Readiness evidence: 100% launches with a complete evidence pack.
Stakeholder inputs: ≥95% inputs received by agreed due dates (tracked).
Client health: % of projects green/yellow, and time-to-green for yellows.
Escalations: Raised early with impact/options; no “surprise” escalations.
